The purist will fall instantly in love with these.No deep cavities,multi coloured paint fills or fancy hot oil finishes here.These are (along with Hogan models) some of the classiest looking wedges on the market today.Thin toplines,lack of offset,narrow soles,compact head,high lustre chrome finish and a subtle swoosh on the back of the compact blade head are all you get here.
The club feels extremely solid and heavy in the hands and instils confidence from the get go.The Nike steel shaft is high quality as is the proprietary grip.Very tasty!

Performance:
Forged clubheads have long held the reputation of being softer feeling than cast models.Forging entails some vigorous hammering of a block of soft carbon steel into shape and this tends to have the effect of "tenderising" the metal and giving it a soft feel.The Titleist vokey models have been seen as soft feeling even though they are cast in construction.
These wedges remind one that forged clubs have no equal in terms of feel.Sweet spot strikes are sublime and the ball flies effortlessly on a medium trajectory and for nice yardage.Despite the relatively thin sole there is quite a lot of bounce (the degree to which the trailing edge of the club lies beneath the leading edge) and this aids in performance from rough and soft sand,while hindering to a slight extent the club's effectiveness from tight lies and hard pan.
Also if you tend to dig through the ball at impact this club will help cut through the turf and if you sweep through the ball a club with less bounce will help.Nike offer low and high bo
unce version in their wedges so all tastes can be catered for.Accuracy and distance control is remarkably good.
Cut up shots and punch shots can be manufactured easily due to the compact head and lack of offset.This is a very nice stick!

Very competitive in relation to main competitors (Titleist Vokey,Callaway forged,TaylorMade RAC).These are desirable,classy clubs which will ensure good resale value.

Verdict:
Fine wedges that will please traditionalists and low handicappers most.High handicappers who like Nike would be best served by CPR line,but good strikers looking for pinpoint accuracy,feel and control need look no further.
