Nike 350 cc driver

Club:Nike 350 cc forged driver
Shaft:Nike graphite stiff
Grip:Nike
Looks: TaylorMade coined the phrase "one size fits none" when it introduced it's 300 series range of drivers some years ago.
Nike seem to have adopted the same approach with it's own range of titanium drivers. It was generally felt that low handicappers and good ball strikers prefer more compact clubheads than higher handicappers as they find the sweetspot more frequently.
This idea is becoming more outdated by the second as more and more touring pros go to ever larger headed drivers. The larger the clubhead the more forgiving the clubhead-fact!If tour pros need help then all of us certainly do. This club is typical Nike in looks (sleek despite it's generous size, beautifully finished in blue metallic paint and understated and not in the least bit tacky or loud).
The scoreline is broken (first seen in Mizuno T-Zoid of the past) and the polished metallic face contrasts with the blue of the crown very well. The clubhead sits square and frames the ball nicely and looks powerful and compact behind the ball.
The Nike black and blue shaft has the familiar torsion weave tip section that makes it play stiffer than normal. The grip is a fine offering from Lamkin and the overall package is very impressive.

Performance: The set up of this club is not typical (8 degree/stiff flex) but it is evident that some Nike driver traits are evident.Low ball flight (in the case of this club REALLY low),muted overall sound, penetrating flight giving lots of run and a shaft that plays stiffer than the flex given.Workability (ability to control shape and trajectory) is quite easy for a head of this size.Mishits are absorbed with no discernable loss of distance although balls fly even lower than normal. This is a solid piece of kit.

Value: Good value versus Taylormade 500 series,Titleist 983 and Callaway GBB 2 and because of wide appeal and reputation of Nike resale and trade in value is a given.

Verdict. This is probably the most appealing of all Nike's drivers in that it is a good compromise between the relatively tiny and unforgiving 275cc and the huge and extremely forgiving 450cc.
Be aware that you need to go for a softer flex and higher loft than normal to get maximum performance. When you get the set up correct you will like the results!
